Final Year

Assalamualaikum. So today has been a month since the new semester begun. Time flies so fast. Whew. And here comes my final year. Just 1 more semester left next year and soon enough I’ll graduate from IIUM. Hmm, I still feel like my first year has passed not so long ago. And there were few people who didn't believe that I'm already in my final year. Yeah, I know. I wish I look more mature.

I’m sure when the time comes where I need to leave this student life and start a new life, I’m gonna miss everything here in IIUM. Despite anything bad people said about IIUM, I still find that this campus is the best. Eventhough there are some not-so-good things that happened, I’m not gonna cloud my judgement. Flaws like that can be improve, soon insyaAllah. Like what I had wrote here; #UIABest. And I’m so grateful for the opportunities that I got to study here, in one of the best law school, Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws.

The very one thing I like the most here is everytime before we start the class, the lecturer will remind the students to recite Surah Al-Fatihah and also after the class had finish, we end it with Surah Al-‘Asr and Tasbih Kafarah. The very simple thing yet so significant with the Islamization target that IIUM wants to achieve. And also, everyday at 8.30 in the morning, there will be recitation of Asmaul Husna playing from IIUM mosque.

The environment in IIUM is the best, with the International students from all over the world. I really love it when I got the chance to interact with International students. They are just different with us, Malaysian. I don’t know, well maybe they are more friendly and lovely and pretty and being extra nice. During #UmmaticWeek is the best chance to get to know them. =)

Now I’m in Semester 7 already, hopefully I can survive well. For a student like me, who is not so bright, this semester is tough. I think the toughest one. I’m not sure yet what I’m gonna do after my graduation. I envy those of my friends who can confidently said that they gonna be a lawyer like Harvey Specter. But me? Sigh.

My schedule for Monday and Thursday class is quite pack. I need to manage time properly. So that I can perform Zuhr prayer and I can have lunch properly. If not, I need to skip lunch. Or instead, I just need to puasa sunat. Whatever it is, I can’t skip Zuhr for having lunch. How to have a blissful life if the very important thing like prayer been taken for granted, right?

So far, I love all my lecturers for this semester. There is one class that I feel so nervous everytime before I enter the class. I can’t be normal when I’m nervous. But the key to overcome the nervous is preparation. If I’m well prepared before the class, only then I can feel confident and not nervous.

In Jurisprudence class, my lecturer, Dr. Iqbal reminds us that wherever we go, we must have discipline. Without that, we can’t succeed. And also we must know what is the purpose of studying. “Don’t be a ZOMBIE!” he said when he saw his students' lack of passions in class. The determination to succeed must go beyond everything. And if we are lack of motivation, we need to find one, The One.

Have you heard about the controversy in IIUM during our campus election on 25th September? No? Yes? Well. Actually, before this I didn’t really care about the elections. I’m just not interested. But since this year gonna be my last experience to vote, I’m a little bit excited with #PRKUIAM2012.

But my excited had been ruined when suddenly we got the news that there were some problems with E-Voting system. So, there was no result. Aiyoo. So, the re-election been held on 2nd October using manual voting system (paper and pen). So, when the result came out, the headline in the news was like this, “Pro-M makes clean sweep in UIA” or “Pro-Mahasiswa Tawan UIAM 2 Oktober 2012”. It means that Pro-Aspirasi lost.

From what I understood, Pro-M is the oppositions while Pro-A is the government. But what I don’t understand is that, what is the need to label pro this and that? Why corrupt the campus elections? And we as the voters, seriously don’t even know who are the representatives for Pro-M and who are the representatives for Pro-A. We just vote the one that seems sophisticated, muka penuh iman or maybe the one that we know?

Because they didn’t told us about pro this and that before we cast our votes, so students had a very complex way of voting. And if we voted one from Pro-A and the other one from Pro-M, no one can blame us because we seriously don’t know how to recognize the representative.

And after the campus elections had finish, are the students happy? What's the reason to be happy? I just hope that those who got elected, will be responsible and not just did something for the sake to win the election. Walk the talk bro, walk the talk.

The 28th IIUM Convocation Fiesta seems to be the last Convest for me. Being a final year student means everything has to come to an end. So insyaAllah next year on 29th Convest, will be my convocation day. Finally. Excited and nervous a little bit. What if I didn't manage to graduate on time? :'( I hope everything will be going on smoothly. For Stabaz, everything was great. It was more meriah than Jalan TAR. And what I love the most is "dragon fruit ice blended" for RM3. So yummy and so worth it. :D

There are things that I wish to do but I didn't get the chance to do. Or I got the chance but I waste it. Now I'm already in my final year. I hope I will not regret so much.

Usaha Kunci Kejayaan, Malas Kunci Kegagalan

Usaha kunci kejayaan bermakna kalau kita berusaha untuk dapatkan sesuatu, kita mesti berjaya. Ya? Oh tak semestinya macam tu. Ada jugak usaha yang tak berjaya. Tapi itu namanya ujian. Sebabnya, bila dah usaha, lepastu tak berjaya, adakah kita akan rasa nak give up?

Kita akan cakap "Aku dah usaha pun tetap tak berjaya. Allah memang tak adil." See. If we don't have faith in Allah, we will be sad when things didn't go as we planned and we always looking for something to blame.

Orang malas cuma mahu bersenang lenang tanpa lakukan apa-apa. Bila kita fikir banyak sangat, last-last nanti mesti tak jadi nak buat.

8 June - Public International Law 2
9 June - Law of Trust
11 June - Law Attachment Program (3 months)

Tak tahulah kenapa jadual final exam sem ni disusun macam ni. Minggu ni, final exam dah bermula untuk warga UIA. Walaupun baru je habis kelas, presentation, assignment, second test, apa semua last week, tapi minggu ni tetap dah terus start final exam. Ya, UIA takde revision period.

Taknak complain apa. It's a win-win situation. Student takde benda nak stress dan boleh perform well in finals. InsyaAllah. =)

Boleh dikatakan, this semester is the toughest one ever. Habis je sem ni nanti, terus start praktikal. Habis je praktikal nanti, terus masuk sem baru jadi final year student. No more holiday. Whoa.

Pernah jugak terfikir nak quit study law few times. But then it kept me thinking again, any course pun susah. I just need to be a tough person. Keep on fighting. Never give up. May Allah helps me to go through this.

Semoga berjaya kepada semua warga #UIABest. Good luck ya? Eh, we don't need any luck right? Hee. Just pray for the best.

Oh ya sekarang kita dah dalam bulan Rejab. Lagi 60 hari je nak ke Ramadhan. Ya Allah, sampaikanlah kami ke bulan Ramadhan. Selamat mengqada' puasa atau selamat puasa sunat. Semoga kita semua dapat jumpa Ramadhan tahun ni. =)

Niat Belajar Biar Ikhlas

Dah nak dekat exam, barulah terhegeh-hegeh nak study. Masa tarikh exam jauh lagi, tak boleh langsung nak study. Kalau try bukak buku pun, sure end up berapa menet je yang lain tu semua distraction dengan benda lain.

Memang salute habis lah dengan orang yang boleh study dari awal sem, study setiap kali sebelum masuk kelas, tak pernah tahu apa tu erti study last minit. Kalau aku ni, bukan tak pernah cuba nak study awal-awal, tapi memang tak boleh. Bila masuk kelas rasa macam susah gila belajar, macam eh, susahnya subjek ni. Kenapalah aku belajar padahal aku bukan nak jadi lawyer pun.

Tapi bila masuk je malam exam, automatic terus faham semua benda yang belajar selama ni. Macam magik. Tapi sebenarnya bukan magik, cuma kena belajar push diri sikit je. Itulah masalah kalau niat belajar kerana exam. Kalau time tak exam, memang tak rasa nak belajar. Teruk betul. Heee.

Heee. Mungkin bila balik rumah nanti kena cari ubat untuk ubah niat belajar jugak. Sekurang-kurangnya, bila niat belajar tu dah betul, Tuhan akan tolong permudahkan urusan nak terima ilmu dan mungkin tak rasa susah dah. :)

All the best Kamiliah! Doakan ye. =)

Mahu Lihat Tulisan Cacing?

Silalah menulis ketika mengantuk. Maka wujudlah tulisan cacing. Hahaha.

Duh, aku tak faham langsung apa yang aku tulis ni. mengantuk tahap gaban. Kalau siapa boleh tolong terjemah apa yang aku tulis ni, dia memang berjiwa seni cacing. Hikhik.

Hohoho.

Tulisan kat atas ni bukan time mengantuk, tapi time tulis laju-laju. Baru nak siapkan homework bila lecturer dah mintak masa dalam kelas.

pssst: Belum tengok kertas exam lagi, tulisan buruk banyak tercipta masa exam. kejar masa beb. Kedip mata pun tak sempat apatah lagi nak tidur. ^__^

Belajar Kerana Exam

QUOTED from my lecturer:
"study for the purpose of knowledge, not for the purpose of exams"
Disebabkan terlalu banyak cuti masa bulan 12 haritu, sem ni rasa cepat je berlalu. Minggu ni sudah masuk minggu mid-term exams. Jumaat ni dah start mid-break. Lepas cuti seminggu, ada sambungan test lagi. Hidup yang hectic bakal bermula selepas cuti. Bersiap sedia jelah.

Gila banyak ah. Tak apa. Chillax. Huhu~

Meja study saya nampak begitu tulus mulus bersih suci bukan sebab baru berkemas, tapi memang saya tak study di meja study. Lebih selesa di katil.

Ini bukan saja-saja sepahkan sebab nak masukkan gambar dalam blog tapi memang tak sempat kemas lepas bangun pagi tadi, overslept punya pasal. Haha. Sumpah sepah gila.

Lihat gambar atas. Comel kan. Okay. Esok ada quiz. Kena hafal benda ni. Jom hafal sama-sama.

Ini rujukan untuk simbol di atas.

That's all. Bye-bye-bye-cycle. ;)

Actually I Don't Want To Become A Lawyer

Regarding my previous post, about the layman's perception towards lawyer, I think many of you didn't get what is the message that I want to deliver. But it's okay.

I agree to some of you who said usually lawyer always use some dirty tricks to win the case, so that will make the lawyer a bad person. But, still you don't have the right to judge a lawyer based on their client.

For example, you have been caught red-handed. You killed someone and you admit guilty. You have confess that you are guilty but none of the lawyer want to represent for you in court. Can you submit the evidence by yourself in court? Can you bring witnesses by yourself? NO, that's why you need lawyer. Not to defend you but to represent you in court.

Later, in court, judge will hear submission from both; prosecutor and your lawyer. Then, it's the job for the judge to decide. If the judge held that you are innocent while he knows that you are wrong, then it is the judge fault, not the lawyer. And if the judge decided that you are guilty, do you think the prosecutor will be so happy?

Okay. Whatever it is. I'm not gonna say anything. I think I don't want to become a lawyer. There're lots of branch relating to law, not only lawyers. Plus syariah lawyer would also be the same. I just brought up this issues for those who wants to become a lawyer, not for me. I hope so.

There are lots of option. Doesn't mean that if you study law, you must become a lawyer. What about lecturer, researcher, legal advisor, businessman, housewife, and so many other choices depends on the person preferences. After all, life is not all about taking the same path like others. There is "ROAD NOT TAKEN". Huhu. :)

Lawyer Tu Jahat Kalau Dia Bawa Kes Untuk Orang yang Bersalah

Let's say, if you are a lawyer

Say YES. I will present for you in court.

Say YES. I will present for you in court.

Say YES. I will present for you in court.

Why should you blame the lawyer. He has nothing to do in deciding the case.

WHAT ABOUT THIS?

Kira macam nak cakap lawyer tu bersubahat sebab bela orang jahat. Lepas tu mak bapak lawyer tu pun akan marah dia sebab buat sesuatu yang salah. Tipikalnya memang macam tulah selalu.

Sebenarnya tanggapan tu salah.

In AIKOL's Female Toilet

This is vandalism.
International student vs Malaysian student.
In the toilet.
And I don't have idea, why did I snapped all those pictures. Haha.
Maybe because they're interesting.
Don't you think so?

LOL. :D

Have M'sians never heard of a dry toilet?

Ever heard of the word "assimilate"?

Shut up! We use water, haven't you noticed?
If you prefer "tissues", then make your own toilet!

That just goes to show how lazy n dirty you are!

Bet your butt is shit-crusted

We've heard, but, we're not interested

Well said.
I'd go gay for you

Baseless accusation.
Show me a proof that using tissue alone is cleaner than using water.

Black And White Day

Today is the most anxious day which I had pray so much before this that I would just be invisible or just disappeared without having to do the submission in the CFS Moot Court.

I am so nervous because my opponent is Ketty which she is a debater plus she is so confident when she speaks and of course I'll look very stupid compared to her.

I wish I could run away but that's not gonna happen. When it comes to our turn just now, I just succeed fooling myself. Haha. Our class started from 4 pm and finished on 11 pm.

I only got 15 marks over 20 which I think the lowest mark in this class maybe?? It's ok. I'll make sure in Gombak, I can improve my persuasion skills and confident level. Hope so insyaAllah.

The court's language while submission is different with common languange, for example:

* much obliged Yang Arif - means thank you
*indeed Yang Arif - means yes
*i correct myself Yang Arif - means sorry
*i stand corrected - means sorry
*i afraid that i can't assist the court on that matter - means i don't know the answer

Judges are very particular with court's language and manners. You cannot use layman terms in court.

And here are some picture that  I wanna share. Till then. Daaaa :)

.Reading the script.

.The mooters.

.Tiki.Dira.Mili.Hurri.

.Meet Ketty my opponent.

.With Madam Farahizah.
